I was walking through the park one day when I saw you sitting there
all bundled up in your coat, your breath heating the cold air I've seen you in my dreams before, I've longed for this day to come my heart is ready to love again, I'm over feeling numb I stopped inside the coffee shop to bring you something warm my heart was racing, my body shaking, still frozen from the storm with drinks in hand & a smile on my face, I step back into the cold excited to finally see our enchanting love story unfold 10 feet from the bench were you sat, I stopped dead in my tracks coffees drop, melting the snow, exposing the sidewalk's cracks I stand there heartbroken, as the winter wind begins to blow shattered to see all that is left of you is your footprints in the snow -Crystal Williams Peachland, BC, Canada. The print will not have my name on it. |
